Quarawien Mosque is one of the most famous mosques in Fes , Morocco that located in Northwestern of Morocco . The mosque was built by Fatima El Fihriya, but she bestowed the authority to her son El Idriss Yahya for controlling the mosque ,what is more ,she has resisted to finish the mosque despite the fact that she had been fasted , decided to pray in the mosque .







Fatima El Fihrya empowered all what she has inherited to build the mosque that makes  Fes populations , and its rulers have larged and designated the mosque and above all have keen on its affairs .
The mosque posses a fantastic ,and extended minerat which has been existing so far ; it is extremely considered the most ancient one in Morocco






ALMORAVID have added some touches to change the face of the mosque ,which has simply ornamented by simple ways ;however, they decided to keep its real face instead of changing the whole things; furthermore , there were some archetectures curved a few quranic verses ,and supplications written upon walls , and they put arches in all trends .



What remains from ALMORAVID are that they abandoned rostrum which has been siting in its real place , and yet after ALMORAVID , Almohad have put the massive chandelier which decorated fully the mosque and given its a new vesion.
Quarawien Moque consists of seventy doors , and pavilion , which confont in the center of the mosque ,each pavilion contains a place of ablutions ;
The mosque knows much more interest in the field of necessary things , and it has ornamented through many objects such as wall watches , chandelier ,and above all a safe desposit for puting books .
