Kutubiyya mosque is the biggest mosque in Marrakech city ,Morocco , that positioned at the center of Marrakech , near the famous public place of Jamaa el-Fna massive gardens surrounded by large gardens .
The name of the Kutubiyya mosque derives from a market of bookselling . The time in which this mosque estalblished was the time Almohad caliph namely the founder himself ,who built this moque, is called Abd Al-Mu'min after he vanquished marrakech from the Almoravids ; though ,the mosque was reconstructed fully via Abd Al-Mu'min ,with Yaqub Al-Mansor possibly completing construction of the minerat around 1195 .
it is deemed a classic an an important example of Al'mohad architecture ,and of Moroccan mosque architecture generally . The mosque is geographically situated near Jamaa Al fnaa souq ,which is the most famous market since the establishment of the city of Marrakech .
