Bahia palace is one of the most historical monuments in marrakech , Morocco .
Bahia palace belongs to Musa , grand vizier of Alaouite sultan Mohammed Ibn abderahman .being considered the best ever, Musa has brought the most profesionnal workers for laboring in the palace for 6 years, yet he had died before he finished building the palace .



Another thing should be noted is that bahia palace is deemed the best to visitors because they find their rest and where to enjoy the life . What is more , it consists of multipe sales , tanks , and above all gardens that centered the palace by a tank that is very famous via " AGDAL BA AHMED " . After Ahmed's death , his palace becomes royal property .




just hours after his passing , sultan Abdelazize ( who subsequenyly took full power over the country reportedly ) demonded the place to be plundered for valuable items .
Two brothers , madani el-Glaoui and Thami El Glaoui took control of the palace and tried to use it to entertain strangers guests . Then , in 1912 , after the installation of french protectorate in Morocco , the whole palace was transfered into the real residence of french resident-general ,lyoutey , in the city .after getting the independence , bahia palace turned into a tourist attraction .



Being looked for a place ,Ba ahmed has taken the small Riad as an office ,and house at the same time . It is very decorated by marbles that make it much outstanding once looking inside . The squareyard was the main place where Ba Ahmed finds rest , it was the center of a marble fountain ;moreover , surrounded by 4 sales and arches that are set up for french inspectors . Additionally, the honorary yard , which considred a large space and the largest yard , is surrunded by 52 pillars and centered by 3 fountain but one of which is now the center of a small tank which almost exploited for music and shows .

Since the era of Ba Ahmed , Bahia palace knew a great change in terms of the building and sales that are decorated by written Rhyme that refers to its Bahia palace . TO bring all to end , Bahia palace is the most beautiful places in Marrakech Morocco .

Si Musa was descended from a family of black slaves that work for The Moroccan MAKHZEN ( Royal Government ) and accecced the highest offices in the country .
