The Guggenheim Museum is a museum of modern and comtemporary art devised via Canadian American architect Frank Gehry , situated in bilbao , Basque country ,Spain .The museum constructed alonside the Nervion River which runs through the city of Bilbao to the Cantabrian sea .



This museum belongs to the Solomon R . Guggenheim Foundation and features permanent and visit exhibits of works by Spanish and international artists . Being observed and enticed , this museum is the most well-known and perceived in Spain .
One of the most admired works of contemporary architecture , the building has been hailed as a signal moment in the architectual now that it represents one those rare moments when critics ,academics were all fully united about something .





The solomon R .Guggengeim Foundation pointted out Frank Gehry as the architect, Thomas Krens ,encouraged him to design something daring and innovative . The curves on the exterior of the building were intended to show off random as the architect said that randomness of curves are designed to grasp the light and the interior is designed around a large , light -filled atrium with views of Bilbao's estuary and flanking hills of Basque country
The museum was opened as part of a revitalization effort for the city of Bilbao . Almost at once after its opening , the Guggenheim Bilbao becomes a popular tourist attraction , drawing visitors from around the globe to visit the monuments " the museum "
